Day 10: Episode that starts with the first letter of my name. As my name begins with B, TOS "Balance of Terror." One of the greatest episodes of the first season of TOS still holds up today as compelling television. One of my faves.
Day 9: Episode that made me laugh out loud. Strange New Worlds "Those Old Scientists" may be the most hilarious episode of the entire franchise. Self referential, 4th wall breaking, completely unhinged. The moment when Boimler sits on the saddle and says "Riker" almost had me pee my pants laughing.
Day 8: Episode centered on your favorite character. Going to go with Strange New Worlds and "Under the Cloak of War." While MBenga is the main focus, Ortegas gets a LOT of compelling work in this one. Ortegas is my favorite SNW character and I adore the vulnerability she shows in this episode.
Day 7: Episode to show a Trek newbie: This may surprise a few folks, but for this I am choosing "Elementary, Dear Data" from TNG. It's a ton of fun and just a great classic Trek episode.
Day 6: Favorite episode of your least favorite series. This is hard. I probably say Enterprise is my least favorite series. I don't really have a favorite episode because I just couldn't get into it. I've tried several times but never make it past a few episodes.
Day 5: Least favorite episode of favorite series: DS9 "Profit and Lace." The ENTIRE EPISODE is transphobic and plays being trans as a gag for laughs. The ONLY good thing in this episode is the ability to transition near instantaneously. I wish we'd seen that more fully explored.
Day 4: An episode that should have been a 2-parter: I'm going to go a slightly different path. Voyager Year of Hell pts 1 and 2 should have been that entire season. It wraps up far too quickly and there are a LOT of loose ends. It was SUCH a good concept that left a lot on the floor.

At least the Declaration of Independence is timely again:

For cutting off our Trade with all parts of the world:

For imposing Taxes on us without our Consent:

For depriving us in many cases, of the benefits of Trial by Jury:

For transporting us beyond Seas to be tried for pretended offences
30 Days of Star Trek day 3: An episode that made you cry. When I watched "Ad Astra Per Aspera" every bit of the courtroom scenes felt like they were talking about trans people. I cried in both despair (over our real world situation) and in hope for the way the episode resolved. So powerful.
Star Trek 30 Day Challenge Day 2: First episode you watched. I don't know which was first, but "Operation: Annihilate!" Is the first one I have a clear memory of. The Denevan parasites were absolutely terrifying to a 5 year old. Even though the writing isn't great, it remains one of my favorite.
30 Day Trek Challenge! Day 1: Last episode you watched: Strange New Worlds season 2 episode "Ad Astra Per Aspera." This episode is exquisitely done. Courtroom episodes are some of my favorite Trek, and this one held up to "Measure of a Man" from TNG. I will admit to crying on first watch.
New Southernism just dropped:

"I sincerely hope you get everything you voted for."

If you read that dripping with "Bless your heart" energy, you read it right.
Good morning Bluesky! I am here and ready to take on the day! No makeup as I've been consciously trying to be more comfortable presenting femme without it. I think I pulled it off mostly.

Good afternoon! I realize I haven't posted much other than the GFM recently. With all the chaos at work, the harassment, and threats, plus arranging for the move, I haven't had much time to be on BlueSky. We are trying to flee Texas and need your help. Please please please share.

It no longer feels safe to live in TX. My wife and I are planning to move our family to MA this summer. Moving is expensive. I know times are tough for all, but if you could give or share to our movjng fundraiser, that would be really helpful. gofund.me/789dca9b

Good morning! We are at just below 50% of our goal! We have enough to pay for the movers on this end and half the cost of the truck/gas. This gets us closer to fleeing Texas.

Even if you can't donate, if you could please share the GFM campaign, it would be incredibly helpful.
