Jumping can be dangerous play if a player jumps at an opponent in a careless, reckless, or excessive manner, or uses their body in a way that could injure another player, ie. with raised studs or elbows
It looked to me on the replay that O'Brien came in with a high knee and therefore studs.

Yes it was a very good goal. My point being as a goalie you set up the wall in these plays. The wall did not move and you would expect his experience to factor in this. The striker looks at the wall and goal. The keeper looks at the wall and the striker.
