I think this is really the secret sauce for tempsky.app Even if you don’t set a general post deletion rule, you can still make individual posts follow rules by including a special tag, like del:never which will make this post not delete itself :)

Like don’t publish a new record if the data is the same? it depends on how granular of data you want. If you make a new record even when the data is the same it will probably be easier to spot trends over time (since your timestamp will change at least)

The benefits of atproto are really difficult to communicate to the everyday user, I think you’re right that the only way to get the point across is going to have to be for people to see it in action and see what’s possible.

Sometimes it does get confused with the phrasing “alt text” and try’s to text someone lol but you can probably just say “describe the image” and have better results

I’m not the biggest AI advocate but it definitely does have some good accessibility benefits. Using Apple Intelligence you can have ChatGPT write the alt text without even leaving Bluesky.

Yes ! This is how it currently works. You can set up a rule to automatically delete posts. But you can also use manual overrides whether or not a rule is set. This post for example will delete in 9 hours :) del:9h
