Because of the shutdown, the IRS furloughed half its workforce, but mostly customer service staff while still implementing First Felon’s tax cuts that overwhelmingly benefit the wealthiest Americans.

Senior leadership of the DOJ were caught off guard by news that the Trump-installed U.S. attorney for the E. District of Virginia Lindsey Halligan had presented to a grand jury seeking an indictment of NY AG Letitia James.

The indictment was against the recommendation of in-house DOJ prosecutors.
