I cover Leeds United for LUTV. I also watch Wrexham AFC as a lifelong fan. I also teach at Leeds Beckett Uni and coach coaches for the FA of Wales. And other stuff, lots of other stuff…

There’s one place spare on the fun bus from Leeds to watch Wrexham at Middlesbrough on Saturday, dep from the station at 1030, £35. There will be a refreshments stop en route…😉 #wxmafc #boro #askwxm

Great to be at the Racecourse for the first home win at this level since 15th May 1982. Good first half, clinging on 2nd half, until the sending off surprisingly which seemed to rouse everyone. Full time was still a relief! #wxmafc
It’s a pity there isn’t a Bradford paragraph featuring Beni Carbone’s tab…
I’m eagerly awaiting the ‘first day in my new job at AWS went well’/David Hockaday posts… #lufc
There’s still one seat left on the magic bus to Middlesbrough this Saturday. It’s a 1030 dep and it’s £35. ‘Lunch’ stop in Yarm. Give me a 👋 if you’re interested. #wxmafc

Not too many of them in LS14 of a Saturday morning…
There are no trains to Middlesbrough next weekend so I’ve sorted a minibus from Leeds station for the Wrexham game. There’s 3 spaces available if anyone wants to jump on board. Give me a shout and I’ll pass on details. #wxmafc

I’m not sure what that link is tbh. 🤷‍♂️
Great plan. Within one hour means you could be living by the sea, or on the side of a mountain… and you’ll definitely be to the west!
Good I think but you’d need to ask the students that! They contributed well for sure and we had a Stevenage fan in the room who’d visited The Turf last season purely because he’d seen it in W2W…
Another great tale. It’s not the journey to fandom described in any of the academic theories, they’re going to need rewriting.
1947, Europe still in ruins, the people of this corner of Wales decided to hold a music festival, all invited. Choirs & dance groups came to Llangollen from many countries, including former enemies. Local people hosted them, welcomed them & the Interntational Eisteddfod is still welcoming the world.
From my conversations, particularly with US fans, that seems to be something that really resonates - places that had industry and maybe a sports team to follow, a focus for a community. First the industry went, the rest followed.
Lovely! Get yourself over to a game soon…👊🏻
The comments you shared all got used with a couple of sports marketing seminar groups at Leeds Beckett University today, very helpful to give the students a real insight into the global impact W2W has had. Diolch! #wxmafc #askwxm
Thanks to everyone who’s responded, some fascinating replies. Maybe I will do a PhD after all!
I’ll be feeding all these back into the seminar later. 👏🏻👏🏻👊🏻#askwxm #wxmafc #globalreds #sportsmarketing #LBU

It’s a complicated issue. They took a route to creating a new club that involved destroying their own first. People need to know who was in charge at their club as well.
