Summary:
Eddie considers downloading Grindr. He's not gay, he thinks, but curiosity killed the cat after all. It would kill Eddie's curiosity, that's for sure, shoot it point-blank and then Eddie can go to work in two days not feeling like he's been wrung out on a washing line.
He shoves the thought down his throat until it's stuck in his oesophagus and swallows. He showers, changes into sweatpants and an old shirt from the academy and climbs into bed. He fiddles around on social media, and texts Buck to let him know he's home and in bed and when Buck doesn't reply, Eddie decides no, absolutely not, and rolls over and goes to bed.
Eddie walks in on Buck hooking up with a guy from Grindr. He's really normal about it.

"Yeah, I'm thinking it'll just be easier than, like, transferring each other money every month for rent and the shopping," Buck continues.
... Right," Eddie replies, wary. Bank accounts are a big deal-one of the only things his father taught him.
Eddie has only shared a bank account with one other person, and he was married to her.
Well, come to think of it, the situations aren't that different. Sure, he and Buck aren't married. But they do live together. Plus, Buck is basically another parent to his son in all the ways that matter. Maybe it does make the most sense.
OR: the five times that Buck and Eddie navigate life of acting like a domestic married couple as roommates without actually being married, and the one time they realise they kinda are.

I rewatched the 9x01 and it holds up - it wasn’t just excitement about our silly show returning.
