The walk of shame is going surprisingly well. At least until Amanda turns the corner and nearly slams into Sergio. Inside the same house.

He blinks. She dies inside. Somewhere, the Watcher is definitely laughing.

Joaquin, he says his name is. But as the night wears on, Amanda stops trying to remember details like that. All she knows is the warmth of the moment, the way everything else fades until there’s only closeness, breath, and the quiet thrill of feeling something again.

Exactly! Like, I’m totally fine with people having different opinions, even if they don’t like a character, that’s part of storytelling and I love that kind of discussion. But what happened today… Yeah, no.

So she agrees to a blind date, just for fun, or so she tells herself. But judging by the way she’s smiling across the table, it’s going better than expected. She likes him. She likes 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴. Maybe, for once, her life outside the hospital is starting to look a little brighter.

Amanda tries to find her center on the yoga mat, but her mind refuses to cooperate. Work has her on edge, her thoughts racing through patients and paperwork. The quiet of her empty house doesn’t help either. Turns out, stress and solitude make terrible yoga partners.

Amanda’s promotion comes with more responsibility, and the uncomfortable realization that when your attending isn’t around, you have absolutely no idea what you’re doing. She spends most shifts pretending she does and praying no one notices the mild panic behind her professional smile.

He introduces himself as Sergio, mentions he lives nearby, and welcomes her to Windenburg with the easy charm of someone who’s never had an awkward moment in his life.

When he turns to leave and tosses her a casual see you later, something about it lingers.

He slows to a stop a few steps away, chest rising and falling as he catches his breath. When his eyes find Amanda, something shifts in his expression, a hint of surprise, then a soft, almost reluctant smile.

It’s the kind of smile that slips out before a person remembers to guard it.

As Amanda reaches her front door, she notices movement down the street. A boy is running toward her; tall, breathless, his hair catching the last gold of the setting sun.

Her heart stumbles in her chest, fluttering in that foolish, unexpected way she hasn’t felt in years.

Her hard work pays off sooner than anyone expects. By the end of the day, Amanda is called into Dr. Hallowell’s office and handed a thin folder and a tired nod of approval. It isn’t much, but to her it feels like the world.

Renee, the blue-haired doctor, doesn’t share Amanda’s optimism. She’s stuck at the reception desk, grounded by Dr. Hallowell, as she puts it.

Thank you, love ♥️ I just needed to say something out loud, but I really don’t want to start any drama. That person’s blocked, and thankfully, I won’t have to deal with them anymore!
bymooniemoon.bsky.social
I actually had to block someone, that’s how done I am with the nonsense.

I’m gonna be really clear about this, I’m not letting anyone talk shit about my characters. If you can’t be respectful or at least kind in your comments, then don’t bother commenting at all. Seriously, just fuck off. I don’t need that kind of energy here.

Well, I’m glad my characters inspired you to play with him. But Raven didn’t 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 dump Crispin in my story, there’s a lot more behind her decisions than that. Crispin made his own choices too, fully aware of the risks. And honestly? This story is far from being over.

Amanda’s first week at the hospital might feel miserable to anyone else, but not to her. She doesn’t mind mopping puddles or filing endless reports for Dr. Hallowell. For Amanda, it’s all part of the dream; she’s finally where she’s always wanted to be.

Sí… No lo hace con malicia pero igualmente, lo hace
