The first step in transitioning to our new parkrun site has begun with the pausing of the Byxbee parkrun one. Once the new site is available, we'll post a link here (and will create a new Bluesky account for it). (Note that you can't email us using the Byxbee parkrun address anymore.)
Lots of fun photos from our 250th event are now available on our Facebook page: www.facebook.com/Byxbeeparkru...
What a day! Our 250th event and our 6th anniversary! And a bit sadly, our last parkrun in Byxbee Park for a bit while extensive construction happens. We will soon have news about a new, very nearby parkun that should start next Saturday to keep us off the streets while we wait.
We had a huge turnout today, but unfortunately, there was an issue with the tokens. We believe we've sorted it out - take a look at the results and let us know if you are missing or have an incorrect time. (Places 1-19 were unaffected.)
We're hoping to see you at tomorrow's 250th Byxbee parkrun and 6th anniversary celebration! Get there early as construction has closed one of the trails (you'll have to use the sidewalk on the other side of the road). Also, more parking has been lost along Embarcadero Road.
Many fine pictures from last Saturday's event 249 are now available on our Facebook page: www.facebook.com/Byxbeeparkru...
This Saturday is a big one for Byxbee parkrun! It will be our 250th event (green!), our 6th anniversary, and our last event on the current course for a while! We are going to celebrate with a post-finish picnic! Feel free to bring something to share!
Overcast and relatively cool weather led to a record number of new personal bests at event 249! (We also had a record number of finishers - parkrunners are turning out for these last few events on the current course!)
Interestingly, once we switch to the alt-Byxbee course, parking on Embarcadero Road for us will no longer be a thing! www.parkrun.us/byxbee/news/...
Like last Saturday, a bit of Embarcadero Road, where most people park, isn't going to be available for parking. Please go left at the stop sign and park in any of those lots (other than the airport parking lot). It will add a few minutes to your walk to the start, but there is a nice trail!
Since last Saturday was the last one of the month of August, it's time for a milestone recap! Here is the list of people that hit milestones at Byxbee parkrun in August. (In July, we had 9. In August, granted with one more event, we had 22! That’s the most we’ve had in a month this year!)
As was announced Saturday, in three weeks we will be moving the Byxbee parkrun course due to construction. Here is a link to details - if you get a chance, go try out the new course and let us know what you think! www.parkrun.us/byxbee/news/...

Many sun-filled pictures from today's event 248 are now available on our Facebook page: www.facebook.com/Byxbeeparkru...
Two fun things from a sun-drenched day at Byxbee: For the third week in a row we had a 100 finish milestone, and we also had our 25,000th Byxbee parkrun finish (the 32nd finisher today)!
When you park at any of those lots near the Duck Pond, you can cross the road and there is a nice trail you can take to the start area. It will add two or three minutes to your arrival, but it's more fun than walking in front of the sewage treatment plant!
PARKING WARNING FOR TOMORROW! Work is being done on the side of Embarcadero Road where most of you park, and the parking there will be limited. Please use the Duck Pond lots and the gravel lots just past the pond. PLEASE don't park in the airport lot.
We are still looking for a photographer for tomorrow. Whether you have a camera suitable for paparazzi or the one on your phone, you can wear the hi-viz vest and capture the day's event! If you can help, email us at [email protected].
Many pictures from last Saturday's event are now up on our Facebook page: www.facebook.com/Byxbeeparkru...
Bonus fun this weekend - the 32nd finisher will be our 25,000th Byxbee parkrun finisher! Plan your pace carefully!
(Note that we got his dad's OK to post all this.)
Special congrats to Logan on completing his first parkrun 5k! Logan, already well known as a longtime and enthusiastic stroller participant as well as a hardworking breakdown volunteer, ran the whole way today with his dad, Eric! Way to go, Logan!
The forecast threatened heat today, but the morning clouds did their thing and we had a very pleasant event! Lots of milestones (our second 100 in a row!) and a boomerang!
