It’s a teaching technique to first remove the pedals and use it as a balance bike. After the student masters gliding and braking we replace the pedals and continue the instruction to pedaling.

Just so we’re clear on what’s happening.

The beauty of local politics is that it is nonpartisan-we can debate issues on merits & not like we’re opposing SEC teams. Sadly, not everyone feels that way these days.

These are legal on the sidewalks of Nashville thanks to a state law pushed by Amazon and FedEx. The Metro Council could ban them. I don’t know about their legality in bike lanes. @freddieoconnell.bsky.social @angienashville.bsky.social @quinevanssegall.bsky.social @walkbikenashville.bsky.social

We need a concrete caucus in the council to demand more jersey barriers.

All of them are BYOB. Maybe the Beer Board would have more fun. Do we have a BBQ board?

That would require Transportation Licensing members to learn about party buses, golf carts, pedal taverns, horse drawn carriages, scooters, bicycles, limousines, and taxis. One hell of a four hour course. Maybe they have too much to do @seanforfive.bsky.social @quinevanssegall.bsky.social ?

Actually, his Wiki page quote should be his eulogy.
Guns and the Second Amendment

Kirk was a gun owner and gun rights advocate. After the Parkland shooting, he spoke for the National Rifle Association in Parkland, Florida. He said in a Turning Point USA event on April 5, 2023, that:

You will never live in a society when you have an armed citizenry and you won't have a single gun death. That is nonsense. It's drivel. But I... think it's worth to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the Second Amendment to protect our other God-given rights. That is a prudent deal. It is rational.

Does state law allow them? I seem to remember a bill years ago that didn’t pass.
