Aw, my kid loves those books. But the "I Survived the Attacks of 9/11" was a LOT. It's wild that my son was like "cool story, bro, what's for dinner" while I'm having flashbacks.

I liked it, Chase Infiniti is a star, for sure. But it felt long at some points and it didn't have as much to say to me as Sinners did. It was interesting to me to hear that supposedly "everyone" is talking about it because I'm seeing nothing like the discourse that was around Sinners.

And! On top of the "uncool" nonsense, I'm just dying at "finally," like, yes, let's rescue JOHNNY CASH, who was recording music and earning gold records till the day he died, from this terrible obscurity.

This is a very respectable thing to do. But it strikes me that the most privileged and powerful participants in this event, the ones who maybe don't need the money AS much, are unlikely to follow her lead.

Let's pour one out for a real one. That said, Fanta is pretty good. Fruit sodas used to be my default but now I find them a little too sweet -- "too sweet" is a description that never would have crossed my mind as a kid.

I remember driving in a blowing snowstorm....I couldn't see the lines on the highway, but I could see the bright rear lights of the truck in front of me. Keeping my eyes on him kept my panic down. I hope that trucker knew he had a caravan of cars slowly and carefully driving behind him.

I have been following this fight for two days and I am PERPLEXED. Do these people work for Indivisible? I can't believe people are arguing with "XXX action might be risky in this environment, go to the protest if you want but don't sign up for it." Are they reading the same news I am?

It's interesting to see this gown and Sydney Sweeney's right next to each other so to speak...I like the design of Cristin's more, but I'm perhaps not the target audience for Sydney's.

But if (when?) her case comes before the Supreme Court, it very well could be decided that he has the right to fire her, regardless. I know the Court carved out the Fed as an exception in an earlier ruling but maybe they'll decide the allegations are sufficient (regardless of the truth of them)

You notice how a lot of the other replies are making jokes about wearing kente cloth? The response to that is not "kente cloth isn't authentically Black!" it's just that it is SEEN as a sign of Blackness. It's simply a joke and you went to such a strange place of trying to police what is authentic.
