It's like you are saying that I don't need to be more Christ-like and self-sacrificially love my enemy and do good to those who persecute me? That I'm not responsible to care for and protect my abusive parents and basically everyone else in the world?

Thank you so much for sharing this....I'm navigating parenting sensitive teen boys...trying not to repeat abusive patterns of my mother...but also prepare them to be more than deadbeat husbands
