Good to see, a couple of Shrill Carder Bees during a vegetation monitoring visit to Margam Landfill site (a capped landfill with an artificial dune system on top of it!), feeding on Yellow-rattle and Selfheal. Also recently hatched Ringed Plovers, scoring highly on the cuteness scale ๐.
KIDNEY VETCH a perennial of free draining areas. With dense clusters of yellow flowers, It's a great addition to gravel gardens, rockeries, green roofs and window boxes.
Great for pollinators and the foodplant of the Small Blue butterfly.
On Earth Day, it was great to create a multi-purpose refuge for wildlife, which included:- hedgehog home, bee hotel, reptile/amphibian/small mammal crevice chambers & a Wheatear nest box.
