On behalf of the leaders of the Cambodian Fellowship, condolences to our Thai brothers & sisters on the death of Queen Mother Sirikit. She is the wife of King Bhumibol Adulyadej and the mother of the current King Maha Vajiralongkorn. All Thai Fellowship events have been postponed until further notice. The Queen Mother also helped Cambodian refugees in the 1980s. In addition, her daughter, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn is the patron of the RICD Wheelchair Project which partners with the Thai Fellowship.

Our members are working with Asian Hope & Shalom Church to carry out relief efforts on the Cambodia-Thailand border. The Asian Hope efforts are led by Pahnette Chheang and Sreytouch Chhoeurn. Meanwhile, the Fellowship Christ Society in Cambodia, working with the Methodist Church, also visited Trapeang Prasat District in Oddar Meanchey Province to distribute aid. The fundraising by Shalom Church was successful, and Shalom Church has indicated that they will soon make a second trip.

Continue to pray for the situation at the Cambodian-Thai border. Pray for protection from rumors and that as Christians, we will share the truth of the situation. Pray that Cambodians will be calm and have no hatred for our Thai brothers and sisters, some of whom have served together with us in the past. Pray that our friends at the border with trust God and not give in to anxiety.

Pray also for our brothers and sisters in Thailand due to the political and economic situation. Some of our brothers and sisters are also involve continued relief efforts to Burmese refugees.
