i struggle with it! im concerned about it, especially since i cannot exercise the way i used to and i AM fat. but i want to be alive and i want working medication and "being fat" isnt the end of the fucking world but being suicidal can be

i wish it was acknowledged when someone is on medications that cause weight gain that it's better to be fat, alive, and thriving than skinny and dead. i wish fatphobia wasn't a thing. ive seen people avoid life saving mental health medication because they're afraid of getting fat

funnily enough im starting a short term med that can possibly cause high blood sugar but im on a medication already that causes blood sugar to drop so maybe I'll level out unintentionally. or maybe I'll suffer more

as someone on a chemical cocktail it is always a little funny to see "these meds are frequently taken together to reduce suicidal ideation" followed with "these meds taken together can increase suicidal ideation." because the brain is ungovernable

if u never read deltora quest but you're loving cloudward ho, yes deltora quest is a children's series but i stand by it having some of the best worldbuilding, it's got creepy and clever and riddles and puzzles and deserves way more recognition than it gets

i don't think there's anything quite like it honestly. maybe look into weird fiction? i shelved it near a wrinkle in time & octavia butler, kindred is really really good. i just finished moonflow (horror) by bitter karella and it’s great, weird, more mexican gothic than piranesi tho
