I've been bitter about the job I was supposed to interview for a few weeks ago that was cancelled, but I just read an article that I did not even realize at first was about the place (it's a café during the day and a bar at night) and honestly I feel better now because my boss would have been 25

He's kind of okay for someone who had a massive brain bleed and spent 2 months in the hospital. Hard to really define okay for someone whose quality of life drastically changed, and brain damage presents itself in strange ways, but he's up and about every day.

My dad likely had Long COVID and asked his doctor about it who said they had "no way of diagnosing it." He had a stroke a few months later.

Nobody thinks long term at all. I saw a comment just yesterday from someone saying they'll take a day of being sick over having to mask. As if most people are only sick for just a day even in the acute phase. The denial is wild

Love when little right-wingers tell me to leave the country if I hate it. As if that's so easy to do in a country that's allergic to living wages. As if it's reasonable to tell people they have to leave their friends and family. As if I haven't thought of that. As if I wouldn't love to.

Definitely noticing this type of rhetoric in other countries, too, and it's always countries where most people act like racism is exclusive to the US. White Westerners need to wake the fuck up and realize they're a lot more like us than they want to believe.
