Yes but there's a strange... nostalgia (?) associated with this color pallette. Maybe it's a Gen X thing. The trick as an artist is to show other people what they make you think of, and how.

Les Fleurs Sauvages was done in what a friend called the "Palm Springs color pallette". It was based on the weird wallpaper in the kitchen of the house I grew up in.

Thank you to David Lynch and Jack Nance, without whom we wouldn't have 1977's Eraserhead. Profoundly dark and disturbing but a brilliant work of art. Lynch remains a huge influence on me to this day.

I read that during process of filming Eraserhead it took a maddening amount of time and effort to get Jack Nance's hair to do that. Same here.
