I know I’m 4 years late but I’m really loving all the tea (specifically on The Secret History) that the podcast Once Upon a Time… at Bennington College brings. Makes me wanna read BEE too, and the Lethem essays.

Midnight Mass is my favorite I think! But Hill House is probably his best. Anyways you’re gonna love the next episode of Director’s Club.

Finally watching The Haunting of Hill House (Mike Flanagan) and it might be too soon to say, but I do think it might be the best thing he’s ever done. Yes, this is my first watch. But, again, might be too soon to say… I’ve been burned before (Bly Manor).

I've only been able to share lengthy deep dives lately because giving stories as much context as possible–and now having so much context to provide!–is necessary for recognizing patterns.

I hope if nothing else, this helps folks better critically read and understand nonsense from the regime.

This week, the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) announced their lates project, Freedom Trucks.

It is a tremendous work of propaganda.

A deep dive into the project, what it really aims to do, and the curious timing and appearance of the press release.

I reread my favorite book from age 18 and surprisingly, it held up.
A Goodreads review screenshotted of the book the Secret History by Donna Tartt. The review is by me. It reads “5 stars. My fatal flaw is that I think this book is great” with a smiley face.
