Given our performances of late I’m not sure sure that’s gonna make much difference over there. Greece can relax knowing there’s no pressure them but be motivated enough to try to win some pride back.
Good thing is, is that we’re not losing many goals.
With Scotland we can never say never though

Away to Greece is the key. Will be a very difficult and hostile game but a point will do if we can then beat Denmark at home.

On the other hand they can relax and will be under no pressure to win other than for pride and so can express themselves more.

He’d have a big decision to make and is going strong at Hearts just now with good backing from Bloom.

I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s sitting at home hoping the phone doesn’t ring on this occasion and that takes the decision out of his hands.

Knows the league well and has done relatively well at Aberdeen and Killie given his budgets. He’s a rangers fan too and as such I’m
sure he would love to manage them one day.
He’s already turned them down once. If he turned them down again it’s likely he wouldn’t be offered a 3rd chance.

Stuff like length of contracts, wages,transfer budgets etc. I’d have thought the agent would’ve put the feelers out about that in the 1st instance. Then a broad agreement is reached, then a formal meeting arranged with the club to iron out minor details.
If not then what’s the purpose of an agent?

It’d be interesting to know the reason for his withdrawal. I’d have thought his agent would’ve laid the ground work with all of Gerrards non negotiables before an actual meeting with Gerrard was agreed which would then more or less confirm details. Isn’t that what an agent is for??

Whole thing is odd.What is an agent for if it’s not to lay the groundwork for a deal?Surely his agent will have liaised with Rangers to set down Gerrards minimum expectations re transfers,contract length & wages tax etc.Then if broad agreement is reached they arrange a formal meeting to talk terms.

Why bother meeting each other at all then if that’s accurate? They’d all know this, as would his agent.You’d expect tax issues of that nature would be sounded out and assurances obtained about payments (even informally) before travelling for a meeting rather than waste everyone’s time.
