I pitched that they do the entire series, and after every contestant leaves it’s revealed to them that the show wasn’t broadcast. Nobody was watching and they’re not ‘famous’. Again, not much interest from Endemol.

I wouldn’t say a particular character- rather a type. My protagonists are usually likeable, flawed types, who are constantly out of their depth. I think that usually gives scope for humour…
