it tackles issues that become increasingly relevant by the day.
the mistreatment of the marginalized and why we should care, how corruption can be fed to the masses under the guise of a good thing, even immigrants and the challenges they face.

Something I like about Legends Z-A is that Mega Evolution finally feels fully realized as a gimmick.

You're incentivized to use it for the Rogue battles, and unlike XY and ORAS, you see way more than three other trainers also making use of it.

Can't even blame you for that because I could see myself despising this game if I played it as a kid. You pretty much need some sort of guide otherwise the game is just getting vague clues from the NPCs, walking into an area where the monsters are too strong for you, and dying.

A long term goal I have with RetroAchievements is to master every Dragon Quest game on it, this felt like a good starting point.

This was my first time going through the NES version of this game, and it was more fun than I expected. I think I'd still rather play any of the remakes, though.

Okay so I looked into this and apparently Shinies don't despawn in this game. That's neat, and explains why I can reload into the area and still hear it.

The problem is that it's probably up on a rooftop that I don't have access to yet.

This game is messing with me.

There isn't a single Shiny in this area, but every time I run by this bush in particular it plays the sound. I feel like I'm missing something.

Finally finished this one up.

I wanted to like this game a lot more, but the translation is bad enough that it really hurt the experience for me. It's hard to enjoy any of the story or characters when you notice an error every few minutes.
