🧗‍♀️ Huge well done to Geraldine, Marion, Shaun and Lauren from our team, who abseiled 165ft from the Forth Bridge on Sunday to raise funds for @chsscotland.bsky.social.

💙 They raised over £2,000 - with our match funding boosting that by another £1,000!

"Last month we got married surrounded by the people we love. The support I got from Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland is part of what made that possible..." Read Michael's story 👉

After his stroke, Michael had a big goal in mind. Get down on one knee and propose to Holly.💍

From his hospital bed to walking down the aisle. Your support can help someone rebuild their life.

Please donate to help more people get their life back.👉 chss.org.uk/michael?utm_...
(5/6) That’s why we believe third sector organisations like CHSS must have a seat at the table. We already deliver rehabilitation, peer support, and care coordination that the NHS cannot do alone. We are ready to collaborate and help shape this framework from the outset.
(4/6) We are already operating an evidence-based, cross-condition model of care in partnership with NHS partners, with specialisation built in where needed. This model has proven successful in improving recovery outcomes and could be applied more widely across other conditions.
(3/6) We recognise the significant shift that the Scottish Government’s Long Term Conditions Framework proposes and are cautiously optimistic about its potential.
(2/6) Today we've shared our thoughts which have been informed by discussions with people living with the four long-term condition we represent and the healthcare workers who support them.
(1/6) Earlier this year the Scottish Government opened a consultation period to review their approach and policy for the care and support of those with long–term conditions as they investigate the possibility of a new “integrated” framework.
Michael was just 30 when he suffered two life-changing strokes.

When stroke turns your life upside down, recovery can feel impossible. But with the right support, it is possible.🤝

Brewing up support ☕ Thank you to the MSPs who joined us @parliament.scot to show their support for our Tartan Tea Parties! 🥳

Pop the kettle on and host a #TartanTeaParty for the 1 in 5 people in Scotland affected by our conditions.

Our goal is simple: to show that no life should be half lived after stroke and that no one in Scotland faces it alone.

You can spread awareness of stroke by sharing our posts throughout the month and sharing your #StoryofStroke
