The contrast between Biden's grace and Trump's shallow selfishness as well as his mendacity could not be more stark. Indeed the pendulum swings equally in both directions since we have seen the greater good of President Biden contrasted with the plethoric evil of Trump.

Trump can't stand powerful women and when they are also people of color he goes ballistic. Letitia James is a hero and as soon as her case is dismissed for prosecutorial misconduct she needs to sue the prosecutor and the DOJ and Trump for ordering her prosecution.

Nothing incongruous here since the GQP has no credibility with governing. The GQP, through their owners, runs the government so all the problems we have as a country rest entirely at the feet of Trump, Thune, and Johnson as well as the six fascists on the Supreme Court.

Biden would have wanted a just and lasting peace and would have pushed the two-state solution. Since Bibi and Trump are scum from the same pond Bibi was willing to give Trump the credit. As soon as the dust is settled look for Netanyahu to try to wipe out whatever remains of Gaza.

Remember that it takes 60 votes to pass anything in the Senate, normally. However, a simple majority can change the rules to bypass the filibuster. The Republicans will not end the 60 vote rule because they want the shutdown to continue because their owners want the shutdown to continue.Very simple.

I predict that Trump's physical maladies, as opposed to his mental deficits, will become the grounds to invoke the 25th Amendment and ease Trump out of office. His owners can see that his myriad deficits negatively impact their control over his actions. They would rather have a more reliable stooge.

Justice does not 'serve'. Justice must be 'served'. Too many Republicans want to have their way with Justice. When we emerge from this nightmare those Republicans will learn about Justice as her scales tilt in favor of their convictions.

Historically, dictators usurp the influence of the dominant religion to serve their own purposes. People through fear and ignorance gravitate to religion for easy answers to complex questions. Those folks are easily conned and Trump is their Messiah.

Normally I hold preachers and the overtly pious in cynical regard since there are too many examples of talking the talk but not walking the walk. Talarico may well be the exception. I respect people of faith if their faith is truly felt and they refrain from shoving their faith in my face.

Even if the shutdown were resolved, Johnson still would not bring the House back into session to prevent the swearing in of any new Democratic rep. The Epstein files must be so egregious that even Bibi Netanyahu is in one the act. That's why he helped enable the ceasefire.

What this is telling us is the Epstein files contain myriad information linking Trump to Epstein's crimes. When the information gets out even the "religious" deluded minions who now follow him like dogs will re-think their position and abandon Trump.

Republicans do not care about their voters only their owners' wishes. They know their voters will never vote for anyone outside their own tribe and the media will make certain we are polarized. The GQP voters are credulous so they will believe what they are told and vote accordingly.

Unfortunately, reactionaries, like MAGAts, can not admit to error. They will always point out others flaws but never their own. Don't expect them ever to say Trump was wrong about anything and likewise they absolve themselves.

It is time to stop playing nice as if our opponents gave a fig about rules. Any opportunity to get under Trump's very thin skin should be a time to state the obvious based in his very public verbiage and actions,. None of that is a lie since it is all recorded. It needs to be highlighted.

Perhaps the government shutdown, engineered by the GQP since they have total control of the government (actually their owners do, but I digress). They will wreck the federal government which is the dream of the oligarchs.
