His humans left in tears & Guidance, bewildered & grieving, is having a hard time there. They’re not giving him time to find ❤️ again

He’s trying to do everything asked of him, follows commands, walks well on leash, is social w/ familiar handlers. And gorgeous

What more do they want? He’s a puppy for gods sake!

He’s been there 2 wks & has no video

On intake he wagged his tail &happily ate cheese. But he’s fearful of loud noises & the shelter is full of them

This sweetheart is very very afraid in the shelter. Her owner lost their home & Kanga has been bounced from place to place b4 arriving at the shelter, sad & also sick

She lived happily w/ her family, including kids &dogs

Volunteer says Saphire was nervous & confused at first, recently “she has allowed herself to be a bit more of a silly puppy...Her back legs can’t keep up w/her front when she zooms around as if she just grew into her paws. Her uncoordinated antics delight us”

🐾Just 1-y/o, Saphire was dropped off at a police station after giving birth in June. Super cute, young, playful & cooperative, good leash-walker. Earned 2nd best behavior, she has been working hard w/ a trainer learning new skills. Available to foster or adopt by 10/04: nycacc.app#/browse/230872

2-y/o Love so scared at intake he peed himself. Surrendered b/c owner moving w/o him. House/ crate-trained, knows cues, cuddly, loving, active, playful. Jiggy is afraid &sweet. Volunteer says, “while she never quite loosens up the way we wish, she chooses to stick near us. And that feels like a prize…She licks peanut butter gently, noses a toy we offer, & watches the world pass the yard w/a worried little face”
