We brits really need to acknowledge and work through our history of colonial abuses. I believe it starts with education... I wasn't taught a single thing, until I married a Cork man and worked for the UN with intl. friends and learned more. And also we need more ecological regeneration, globally.

I know Michael Walker can sometimes have quite odd views, I'm never sure if he's being devil's advocate. But I haven't heard them platform transphobes...who? I've never heard anyone say anything transphobic on their show at least.

True. But honestly, if you like all their other policies, consider joining and getting involved...they're very welcoming to ideas, and their policies are democratically agreed. I'm not trans so I can't speak from personal experience, but the lovely HelenaMTG from @novaramedia.com is a Green member

They're focusing on the most universal issue - wealth inequality - to grow despite media blackout. But underlying that is a belief in inclusivity. When I voted as a GP member this year there were some trans candidates, so I don't think you've been used. You can also join & promote trans issues.

I could talk for hours about redesigning food systems, but economic systems I'm far less educated about...all I know is that I want some clever economists to design a system that countries around the world can adopt to redress the unjust imbalances within countries and between Global North & South

Taxing high earners is again taxing work not wealth. It will affect the middle class... the dentists, architects, lawyers who are earning £150K - £300K?? People HATE that, and feel it disincentivizes innovation and entrepreneurship. It's the really wealthy who should pay tax on their hoarded wealth.

I believe the example of Norway shows that it can work. There has to be a way to balance the situation. The problem is that the whole global finance/tax haven/media/government policy situation stacks the decks towards the interests of the very rich over the majority.
