Basic social media fact: When you post something publicly, it is now public...and you don't get to tell people how they're allowed to react to it. And what about the Epstein files?

I've never despised California less!
Good night for Dems...hope they remember, winning is the FIRST part. Now they have to prove they can do all the crazy shit they said they'd do. 🤞
Guess he should have ducked faster.
I don't miss either of them. I hope JD can get off the couch long enough to service Lynn in addition Erika. They've really expanded the VP's duties it seems.
@democrats.senate.gov I've been waiting very patiently I think, but just to put it out there, the Ides of November are coming up quickly...
I would have said there is no human hot enough to pull off Luthien, but I'll be damned if Blanchett didn't absolutely nail Galadriel. She is a very talented actor.

I wanted to like the Rings of Power series, but it just felt so soap opera-y, like the first couple seasons of ST:NG. Couldn't do it
I missed the Woodthorpe connection.
Not nearly as bad as the elf/dwarf romance in the Hobbit. And why are half the dwarves cartoons, and the other half freaking models? Adding a whole subplot based on a few notes from an appendix in another book? Jackson got greedy.
I was unfamiliar with most of the cast when they announced the production, but considered boycotting over Sean Astin. I was VERY wrong. I do kind of regret how the movies have overtaken the book. And I wish Jackson had quit going back to an emptied well to make more stuff for Hollywood.
Is that the one with Ian Holm and the giant wooden box of CDs? I've yet to find a dramatized version I liked better than either the Rob Inglis or Andy Serkis audiobook. Listening to Inglis is like being one of Tolkien's grandkids visiting over the holidays.
I never expected to get Tom Bombadil, after all he doesn't really do anything to advance the story...but I can't forgive him for blowing off the scouring of the shire. That was pretty important. Give Lobelia her moment!
Right, but I think he had a better case for changing the name to Alan Smithee than David Lynch did for Dune.

As for Jackson...since when did the elves, who famously hadn't fought with men since the Second Age, are now showing up at Helm's Deep? And yet people still give Christopher crap.
The only thing I get to vote on today is a school bond. That bond does pays my salary though, so it's personally important. (Although I still think bonds are cynical attempts to subvert equity.... giving more money to rich people's kids while Oregon tells students everywhere to go fuck themselves)
(That said, twelve year old me still loved it when I saw it at the Magic Lantern in Spokane in '79)
It's not with a lot of it either, he overreached and fell short. The movie was never properly finished, even within the scope of what was released, and using live action filler was lame. Also, the music was just awful, Rankin-Bass awful.

Wizards was a way better movie.
Sorry, Tim Russert probably would have, but we don't have any left.
I thought it was her dad?
They're not on food stamps now...
I don't recall Hurt campaigning for Biden...and they are both White.
Maybe he needs an even younger man's jacket?
Absolutely not. He can be in the cabinet somewhere. If we're going to give up on non White women, I'll take Pritzker.
At least he's not a doctor.
I actually liked Morley Safer better. Probably because he was Canadian.
Antisemitism, racism, and xenophobia in general define the soul of conservativism. It's not a problem, it's a feature.
