I’m sorry, Jess. I was in those shoes for many years before the ACA helped me. I’m in local government so I’m covered for now, but those were some stressful years not being covered. Looking at retirement soon and who knows what’s going to happen to Medicare? I may be stressed out again, only older.

I agree. This shutdown needs to also be about ICE being out of control and the amount of money they are being given to operate. I look at my paycheck and see how much they take out in Federal taxes and know that part of that is to pay these masked men and women. It makes me sick to my stomach. 🤬

I agree. They will lose the respect of a lot of the American public. Do they care? Not sure. But it won’t bode well for either side.

Especially when there is a real disaster in their home state and they are in another state doing whatever the orange man says to do.
