New staircases noticed in Quebec City: sublime looking but hard to walk at the Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec, and at Bibliothèque Gabrielle-Roy there were leaping cats for Halloween.
Official sounding hand painted signs I can think of (not many) are for very specific prohibitions. That may help date some. "No sliding" is beside the 1960s on ramp to the BiHi. A "no playing of sports in the rose garden" sign was in the SW corner of Fort Needham long after there was a rose.
Went to the Museum of Natural History. Saw a beautiful stone axe made a few thousand years ago by the Not So Recent People, and Gus who is old but not that old.
Took a short stroll in Bridgetown. Noticed: the Credit Union scamps reminds folks the big banks left; and a bus shelter on the site of the Strand cinema (where I saw Gone with Wind and Village of the Damned).
