this was all said w/o considering the act by a stranger of gripping a doll's waist or arm possessively and telling it "I could just scoop you up and take you away from that 'owner' of yours." which wouldn't have nearly the same effect if that was 'handler'

"turning your brain off" as a sub sounds pretty cool and this one supports it. unfortunately, this one's brain ticks and whirs and mulls over every word said to it to find something, anything to correct the one in charge. which always makes things much worse (better) for the stupid thing.

hints of the kind of things-imitating-people that are turned into dolls can be gleaned from witch message boards. questions such as "I lit a cigarette and my newly minted doll got worried that it couldn't cough on smoke anymore. am I in for a challenge or is this easy to convince it of?"
