Inej found her way into @essenceofcrows.bsky.social's small apartment where she lived not far away from the Crow Club.
She walked into the kitchen leaving a small chocolate cake as well as jewelry box. Inside it was a necklace with a oval shaped peridot charm.

Inej couldn't help but notice how peaceful Kaz looked with his cheek pressed against her palm as he came out of the nightmare. She would have left it there forever if she could. But she knew that couldn't happen. At least not yet.

Inej quickly dried her hands and put her gloves back on before going over to Kaz. She leaned one knee on the bed and started to reach out to touch him and try and wake him up. But she froze and pulled back.
