I just learned about Þríhnúkagígur Volcano in Iceland. You ride a lift 120 meters down into an ancient magma chamber, the only place on Earth where it is safe to step inside a volcano.

Has anyone been there? I'd love to hear about your experience.

Inside Volcano Tour, Thrihnukagigur Volcano
Þríhnúkagígur is the only place on planet Earth where you can descend into a dormant volcano and safely explore its massive lava chamber. It is truly a one of a kind experience.

Most visitors to Mount Rushmore have no idea there’s a hidden chamber behind Lincoln’s head…a 70-foot tunnel meant to hold America’s “Hall of Records.” Inside is a sealed vault containing porcelain panels that tell the story of this historic site. 🏛️ Unfortunately, it’s inaccessible to visitors.
Experimenting with a change to our collectible city stickers...a little thicker border and the country flag.
Android app is still coming along. I didn’t realize how different the Play store approval process was from the App Store.

Here’s a peak as we get closer.

The new DuckAbroad Android app is looking good. Still testing but hoping to push it to the Google Play store next week.
Started working on the DuckAbroad Android app. Hoping to have it available in a few weeks.

Submitted an update this morning to the App Store for the DuckAbroad app. It will improve the apps initial load times to speed up journaling. Should be approved in the next 24 hours.
After many weeks of development, I'm almost ready to launch the new Hidden History Hunt feature to DuckAbroad.

Families will travel to 5 destinations, solving puzzles and trivia questions along the way. Each unlocking a new destination until you complete the quest and earn a new badge.

Sneak Peek
Enjoy, it's a beautiful island.
In America, we once stood on the shoulders of giants... Waterhouse, Salk, Sabin, Kendrick & Eldering as they saved countless lives.

Now, we throw away centuries of research for gossip, conspiracies & fears.

Once again, proving that humans will listen to history in school and but never learn it.
The rest of the remaining list is much tamer 😀
It was on the bucket list for awhile. I was able to do it with my son and we had a great time.
It wasn’t a great week for sunrises in Myrtle Beach but today was a nice start.
High tide in Murrells Inlet tonight made it a little tougher to do the Marsh Walk.
Heliskiing near Telluride, CO last March. Still here and enjoying the travel posts!
Despite Hurricane Erin disrupting the surf, it’s still a beautiful day in Myrtle Beach.
One of my favorite things to do in Paris.
Yeah, we need a vacation from our vacation when we get back 😀
Long days. We're usually out exploring by 9am and we're not back in our room until 9 or 10pm. Unless it's a beach vacation, we don't relax well 😀
Sadly no, but we did get some magical views! #TravelAddictsHistory #TravelAddicts
A1: We did a day trip to Delphi that last time we were in Athens. #TravelAddictsHistory #TravelAddicts
