I worked on the illustration more today and think it’s more crisp now. This piece is inspired by childhood summers in Florida. The sky just looks like that every night, and nothing blooms when you think it will. It’s amazing.

I remember seeing this comic as a 19 year old bisexual (formally self defined sapphic) dating an opposite gender partner for the first time in 2012. it made a big impact on helping me feel valid. I’ve transitioned now and going to pride once again in an opposite gender appearing relationship 😅💛
