My first canvas painting was not pleasing me.
I darkened the background, tweeked it a bit. No photoshopping, no altering with anything but paint. I’m happier now.

I was a teenager living in a cabin in the mountains the night of the Big Thompson flood here in Colorado. It was a nightmare as the St Vrain river rose to the edge of my cabin. My heart goes out to Texas. I feel your pain.

Trying to finish my meditative painting that I started with my students. But the Big Ugly Bill is bringing me down. I am grateful to my democratic reps. I feel for them right now.
July 4th I will remember my many ancestors who won the revolution.
