I visited RAF Ingham Heritage Centre, home of the Polish Bomber Squadrons today. Their collection room is coming on, and it was good to see Gardening ops being remembered. #history #WW2

I've been busy. As well as my visit to RAF Waddington, I took in a new permanent collection for the @ibccdigitalarchive.bsky.social about a Bomber Command veteran from the Shuttleworth Collection, and I interviewed Robert McClements about his father, and his film. www.youtube.com/watch?v=s2KR...

The unveiling of the IBCC spire and memorial was 10 years ago today. The archive team didn't see much of the pomp, we stuck our heads out of our tent to watch the flypasts, but most of the time we were meeting veterans and their families. We took in 24 collections.
