I will never forget having to edit Jamal’s final, posthumous piece for the Washington Post, after he was murdered.

He was calling for free expression in the Arab world. You can read it here :

Opinion | Jamal Khashoggi: What the Arab world needs most is free expression
The Arab world needs a modern version of the old transnational media so citizens can be informed about global events.

Wow... @cnn.com
MTG apologizes for taking part in "toxic politics"
"I would like to say humbly for taking part in the toxic politics:

She says she is workign hard to "put down the knives"
Amazing.
A step forward.
She should be applauded for apologizing.
I am glad that MTG is speaking out on behalf of the victims of Epstein

And it is WRONG, just WRONG, that people are threatending her life
She is speaking now on @CNN State of the Union

Sad to see yet another lawmaker - Rep. Jared Golden in this instance - citing threats against their loved ones as an impediment to their continued public service.

We are under investigation by Congressional Rs and could get hit with an endowment tax anytime... reasonable that admin would want to try to avoid provoking more attacks from Rs/Trump?

A coalition that ranges from democratic socialists to neoconservatives, including a lot of energized liberals in between, is large and formidable.

A big pro-democracy tent. A united front. Any internal disagreements can be hashed out once the authoritarian emergency is over.

This really can work.

On the other hand, I'm now actually pestering students to use ChatGPT more to get help with homework problems...

Ha yes very possibly... though I haven't heard about Columbia being burned since making their deal in summer? And regardless could be be an agreement among universities - chance to jointly make reforms we think worth making independent of deal with admin?

This. The president can't extort corporations to pay essentially taxes to him personally so that he can use that money at his personal discretion to do government work.
