Those are interesting, and lovely.
He doesn't look too happy with that!

I tried plastic booties on Rufus. I thought they would keep he feet warmer on walks. He refused to take even one step!

Maybe you can wear an Olaf costume and Olaf will be your mini-me?
Exactly 100 years ago.

History not repeating itself, but maybe echoing?

Oct. 18, 1925: The Fascisti League of North America offers “deep and loyal devotion and their unconditional obedience to the institutions of this great country.” The Mussolini supporters had received an official welcome to Philadelphia by a representative of the mayor.
Oh, this is the "woolies" lime of flannel.
Thank you!
Hopefully it will be finished while it's still autumn😀
Mine isn't yellow yet either. Soon....
Twenty is a lot of rose plants! What fun!
Flannel quilt top almost done. Four more (long) seams to sew tomorrow. Then wait for batting to arrive. Given the thickness & warmth of the flannel, I ordered the thinnest cotton batting. This weekend I want to find a good flannel backing and fabric for binding. #quilting #MenWhoQuilt #quiltsky
So much leading up to this day. And wonderful you are finally here!

The quilt was a beautiful gesture, and hand made. Very touching.

Now on to the road to recovery!
Maples in the chicken yard and on the dog walk. Southwest WA State. #gardening 🌱
Thank you!

I did a disappearing nine patch and discovered swastikas too! Fortunately, they were not sewn together yet, so it wasn't ruined.

I find it helpful to take photos of the assembled blocks and upload to Ipad. Somehow, I see things in photos that I don't see otherwise.
Today I worked on a flannel quilt. I had already preshrunk and starched the fabric. For flannel, I use 1/2" seam allowances and larger blocks than with #quilting cotton. After laying out the blocks, I saw a secondary pattern I liked more. More striped HSTs will be needed. #Quiltsky #MenWhoQuilt
Such a beautiful orchid! The pumpkins works with it too!
I agree, this appears to show males are more likely to condone violence, not females. It does appear to show a correlation with youth, however.
I agree with you. I'm not buying many anyway and shipping is so expensive, so I just picked up a few at the big box store.
Yesterday I helped out at awards of Quilts of Valor to 16 Cowlitz tribe elders who had served honorably during the Vietnam & Korean (!) war eras. Quite moving. I made one of the quilts. I imagine this was a very belated recognition & thanks. #Quilting #QOV #quiltsky #MenWhoQuilt
Almost all of the harvested green beans are cut, blanched, and frozen. One more batch today. 🌱#Gardening #KitchenGarden
I've noticed before, that some of those big box store bulb packages are mislabeled. Also, you have to be careful the bulbs are not all dried out. But mail order isn't necessarily more reliable. Local nurseries are usually better.
Actually that's nicer than than the one on the package.
I planted tulips, lilies, and a bearded iris for next year. It's an act of almost naive and insane optimism, planting now to enjoy in 6 or 7 or 9 months. The iris instruction was wrong. It stated plant 4-6" deep. Nope. Plant at soil surface level. #Gardening 🌱
Finished harvesting bush beans. There were lots! I cut, blanched, froze the first batch. These were planted in late July after harvesting garlic and onions. I was curious if there was still nitrogen- fixing Rhizobium in the soil. The root nodules say yes. #KitchenGarden
