I like to travel home and abroad. Cycling, photography and tech. I did #RaceAcrossTheWorld, series one.

I hope we win this time!
Paestum in Italy. A group of Greek Temples dating back to around 500BC.

It was a nice gesture, but it needed to be done.
However bad it looks, it's worse being in them.
Like the London tube at full capacity in a heatwave with a strong odour of BO.
Or how many times they mention Wales.
I still remember the days when originality was popular.
Wouldn't life be a little easier if all airlines used a universal size for carry on. One can but dream!

I have, and they are not as much fun as they look. Especially on an unpaved road.
It's funny that you think it would have a toilet. None of the buses I caught in India had a toilet.
I backpacked around India. My trip wasn't as glamorous. Actually, it wasn't glamorous at all
Jaipur was one of the highlights for me, but i have no desire to visit India again.
My money would be on them finishing first.
I suppose you don't know any difference at the time.
It's only in later life, like now. When they can put it into context.
New Delhi is next level intense, even for India. Good luck.
I struggled with it.

Even hardened travellers can struggle in India. It's intense!
The working title of the show was called 'Flightless'
I am in Armenia, exploring the country. I have been taken aback by its beauty.

#raceacrosstheworld contestants are visiting the Longji rice fields. We visited them in series 1, but it didn't show it on television.
They are running around with a film crew, and forced into odd situations. They are not travelling like 'normal' people travel.
Travelling around like a 'normal' person is so much easier.
It does make it less relevant to modern travelling, but that misses the point.
It's so the contestants are forced to talk to locals. I think it makes them experience the world around them. It would also make the show a lot duller if they had Internet access 24/7
It's not the ideal case for this race, from my experience.
They won the internet award of the day for stating the bleeding obvious!
