The new Perfect Reflect stuffs the high/low situation entirely with mashing, but it loses to traditional ki blasts woven into pressure to force a normal anti reflect string and, if spaced, correctly, Goku will be plus point blank.

Pressure, and dealing with it, has lots more layers now.

ArcSys really gave SS Goku a 16f overhead special so:

- Unreactable;
- 4f gap from Lights (12f blockstun), 1f gap from Mediums and Heavies (15f);
- +2 on block;
- Easy to confirm into Warp Kamehameha > Super Dash on hit;
- IAD jML is ~+8 on block not doing the overhead and going low beats mash 2H.

The fact it took them until Gen 8 to properly cut on Pokemon and moves so the games like, have a workable scope to them is insane.

Even the Gen 3 dexit wasn't really that since it's all in the game still. Pokemon might have the worst case of feature creep in all of gaming.

-removed Aerial Ace from several mons (Wing Attack is cheeks) to keep coverage in check. Iron Fist or Sheer Force + Life Orb would probably make generic coverage too strong, which would devalue swaps, when that's a key resource in PVP.

I don't envy them, it's way too much complexity to account for.

Most likely. Stuff like Water Absorb and he would it work with spread moves, weather interactions with the actual game's weather system and how that ties to specific rare catches, etc.

Even smaller stuff like Moonlight/Morning Sun are just Recover clones now and how they willingly-

1.41 DBFZ gotta be the best version of the game in a long ass time.

Damage is still too high and there are still some extremely ignorant moves but for the most part, this is pretty much DBFZ2 built on the bones of DBFZ1.

Now... it would be nice to get Version Select as an option for lobbies...

-it's still pretty clear how conservative they were with some stuff. No real speed control, Choice items aren't in the game, etc.

Probably also why they nudge people to play online for the Kalos Mega Stones: Gotta get some real data to finetune this system some more later on.

The game has the BW exp system so overleveling *too* much isn't really a thing until you can amass EXP Candy in the post-game but you can still stack enough multipliers to nuke some specific bosses down, which is probably intended anyway.

The combat design generally did good with this game but-

Then it could be based on the move's BP too, like how most damage move CDs are just BP/10 rounded down.

I've had situations where Zard Y Fire Blast didn't stun Victreebell, but then me just throwing a Thunder Punch would trigger the stun even though it's type disadvantage and the damage is minimal.

It's actually a hidden stagger meter/damage threshold and Mega Absol's is just low enough it's possible to do that easily.

Plus Moves in the regular battles work differently than in Rogue Mega Battles so it's hard to say for sure but you can trigger that stagger even with normal moves.

Aegislash was was busted in Gen 6 it's *still* paying for its crimes in Legends Z-A.

Might legit be the worst fully evolved Pokemon in the game.
