"There's a man out there!"

First heard on October 11, 1963.

Celebrating 62 years of one of the most iconic Twilight Zone episodes ever aired: "Nightmare at 20,000 Feet."

A toast to Richard Matheson and William Shatner for this piece of TV history!

Thanks to friend Paul Spring for capturing another solo encore 🎻 from tour with #jonbatiste 🖤 Thought Orlando, Florida might be a nice place to play one of my favorite #Disney melodies 😉 Who knows it?

"I'm very much aware in the writing of dialogue, or even in the narrative too, of a rhythm. There has to be a rhythm with it. Interviewers have said, you like jazz, don't you. Because we can hear it in your writing. And I thought that was a compliment."

Elmore Leonard, born 11 October 1925.

A shack on Cape Sincere
Mad Mona bakin' gospel candy
It was a radical year
We get a little silly
And fall into microspace
It's even better this time around
With Coltrane on the K.L.H..."

Buster would spend hours every day visiting with seniors at a town-owned housing complex nearby. Shortly after he died a few pooled their resources and had this plaque made. He truly was one-of-a-kind.

"When the wind blew from the south and the French doors had been opened, the sound of cheering carried from Ebbets Field into the apartment. It was astonishing, to hear cheers from a major league crowd while sitting at home."
