Neat. I did something like this with a 3 color eink and an esp32, where a pi running elsewhere generates the image from a cron retrieval of rss feeds, weather, and a comic. I just cut some beveled mats and threw it in a picture frame.

Congrats. Reminds me of an online game of sorts that I used to play called mod-x. It was good fun. You had to get through simulated hacks to get through levels. Looks like it’s gone now, which is too bad… I don’t think I ever quite got to the last level.

I love pihole, and it helps somewhat with the horrible TV software and streaming STBs, but I have bumped up against the dns ad blocking causing issues with services being able to stream at all.

Still worth the occasional aggravations, though.

They successfully destroyed the television market, and now they want everything else. Eventually there won’t be any non-shitty options for anything that runs on electricity.

Yes they have. At great length. For months.

It’s a mix of going towards his presidential library, free legal work, and large sums to the US Treasury general account, where congress controls how it’s spent.

Absolutely. I’m tired of finding that a replacement for a crappy pcb in an appliance costs 2/3 of the price of a new machine. That shouldn’t even be possible.
