Neat. I did something like this with a 3 color eink and an esp32, where a pi running elsewhere generates the image from a cron retrieval of rss feeds, weather, and a comic. I just cut some beveled mats and threw it in a picture frame.

Ford should have been spending this sort of effort on producing a vehicle with a reliability score above a 2.

Congrats. Reminds me of an online game of sorts that I used to play called mod-x. It was good fun. You had to get through simulated hacks to get through levels. Looks like it’s gone now, which is too bad… I don’t think I ever quite got to the last level.

What does the laundry sensor do?

Pardon my ignorance, but why is that? Is adsb somehow causing issues?

It’s pretty clear about this being an opinion piece.

What a weird exercise. Airpods have never been, and likely never will be, user serviceable.

That’s the one!

This terrified me at the time. Also, Dolls (1987).

I always wanted one of those acoustic coupler modems that were in the nice wood box with brass hardware.

AOL has now ceased dial-up service as of September 30.

Let us play the forgotten music...

I love pihole, and it helps somewhat with the horrible TV software and streaming STBs, but I have bumped up against the dns ad blocking causing issues with services being able to stream at all.

Still worth the occasional aggravations, though.

You had to be a complete moron to not to see that coming.

They successfully destroyed the television market, and now they want everything else. Eventually there won’t be any non-shitty options for anything that runs on electricity.

I might be interested if these were open devices, and not part of yet another walled garden. Especially not one managed by Meta.

Yes they have. At great length. For months.

It’s a mix of going towards his presidential library, free legal work, and large sums to the US Treasury general account, where congress controls how it’s spent.

Looks great. Also looked like about 18 hours of work and a $300 grocery bill. So, sadly, I probably won’t get to try it.

If you read it, then you saw that putting “incorrectly” in the headline wouldn’t have been strictly true.

We can ask for journalistic integrity or for every headline to achieve specific rhetorical goals. Not both.

They did. In some detail. Quoting appropriate sources.

Yeah, wrong photo. Which is weird… the actual article has had an appropriate one since at least yesterday.

Like 95% of everything they produce is about US politics, and you’re mad that the last 5% isn’t?
davidcdean.com
Absolutely. I’m tired of finding that a replacement for a crappy pcb in an appliance costs 2/3 of the price of a new machine. That shouldn’t even be possible.

Yep. And a TV that has all the latest technology, only *without* all the trashy adware and spyware built in, or ota firmware updates that remove features and brick devices.
