Same ddt. Working in service design for govtech. Bikes, books, cats. But I get out. All content here is personal. If you know how it works, you are not the user. If your mother says she loves you, find a second source.

It's difficult to train out the "common sense" bias when dealing with complex systems, whether in design or government. Often, "common sense" isn't applicable and is counterproductive.

It's also difficult to learn how to communicate this distinction.

Should I write about that?
Another reason to hope Mamdami is successful (aside from, you know, wanting a better NYC): Imagine the sequel to the Fiorello! musical!

And you just can't hide it
First caller on C-SPAN as they go to Mamdami HQ in prep for his acceptance speech is... wanting America to go back to its Christian roots and fears Mamdami.
I am not qualified to therapize Bill Ackman. So I'll leave it to you all. Wrong answers only.

This is why you can't succumb to nihilism. I know it's SO fucking hard, but that's what the fash want: for us to give up. Fuck them, it's not over
You paper bag lips to the ears of all the gods and people, Chuck. ❤️
Stay safe in this dark night oh it's 5:30pm
That's not to say I wouldn't happily read every single tweet.
You already have a professorship, Dave! That's a postdoc's job!

Update #2: Ackman is still convinced Cuomo is going to win, and has proposed Cuomo adopt the slogan "MNYGA"

Walmart and McDonald’s are among the top employers of workers who rely on food stamps.

McDonald's CEO raked in $18.2M last year — over 1,000x the company's median employee pay.

Walmart's CEO pocketed $27.4M — 930x the company's median employee pay.

See the problem?
Not to blame the victim, but come on, HR knows what HR did.
I can tell you right now that this doesn't meet 508 compliance, @workday.com
Today I discovered that khaki pants, a chocolate-colored shirt, and a grey jacket work really well together and I feel like freaking Derek Guy.
Love how Workday offers you to "apply with last application" and that option leads you to an account creation page. Seems like if you had a previous application in Workday, you'd not need a new account?
"Permission to treat the sandwich as hostile."

"Oh, I'll show you hostile. I have ghost pepper sauce."
"Do you recognize that sandwich?" is an all-timer cross-examination question.

This is one of the greatest threads of all time
The defense team presses Lairmore on whether the sandwich really 'exploded.' They return to the photo of the sandwich and wrapper on the ground.

"That sandwich hasn't exploded at all, has it?" defense asks.

"It looks like a little bit is coming out towards the bottom," Lairmore replies.
The present doesn't have to mirror the past, but listening to 2018-2019 episodes of Knowledge Fight, it seems that's the path a lot of people find attractive.

Periodic reminder that Judge Dredd was satire. You're welcome.
I definitely have been holding off on all OS 26 updates on my devices, and am probably going to be a grumpy UX person for quite a while.
