The thing abt "don't use black for shading" is that if you use black for soft shading it WILL indeed make your drawing look muddy as hell BUT if you use black for rlly dark and defined shadows it'll turn into the coolest thing anyone's ever made

Thank you for the kind words! I’m with you on that, I also think that because genAI users tend to spit out the most hyper rendered images they possibly can, simple line art almost feels like a palette cleanser these days haha
