also this is a sci-fi world where people do dye their hair, he's actually a natural blonde but would not be caught dead without dyeing it a different color. the silver/gray is when it fades out from blue (it's actually seen as very Low Class by his family though, which is why he does it. to rebel)

in the end Betony would do well to just Be Nice To Osprey like Mylos wants him to be, but I don't think it's going to be that simple.... for anyone...
