The weirdest thing is they even got Koei Tecmo to make two completely different FF crossover spinoffs too (Dissidia NT and Strangers of Paradise).

Smartass antihero RPG protagonists named Yuri need to have a dog party member, it's the law.

So far the dpad's head and shoulders above wii u pro, switch pro, xbox 360, and dualsense ones to me. Way less accidental diagonals from holding slightly up on right, or going right to left.

It's legitimately great, especially the dpad. The back paddles also map to any other input you want, so it's really easy to cut down on claw gripping.

Oh that legit looks great!

motoi sakuraba was forged in sports, it's why 80% of his songs feature the electric organ you only hear in baseball stadiums otherwise

First time I played, I thought magirocks were a one time consumable, but it turns out when you spend the ring you bought with them, you get the rocks back to buy more magic. Complete game changer.

The poncho he wears on the title screen/overworld sprite is so good too.

Opoona for Wii. Really lesser known ArtePiazza game, with an allstar composer cast and loads of charm. Like this song's by the guy who does electric guitar/keyboard in the Romancing SaGa 2 remake:

Tiny dogs that are slightly bigger than normal look so weird. I had a pomeranian that had to get shaved down, looked like a fox.

But surely your other main hobbies are travel and kayaking, right?

I think they just made up a number for clout, but you could probably do some clickbaity mental gymnastics to get it up there by adding the cost in time on the canceled version to the one Retro's making.

The comic panel style cutscenes did such a crazy good job for presentation especially compared to other Genesis/SNES RPGs, genuinely don't know why more 2D sprite-based games don't do it.

One big thing for enemies that one shot you is some formations force aggro onto one person especially, and Parry fully negates physical damage so you can have a dedicated tank. A lot of enemies can also be stunned, so you could potentially stunlock with fast units.

3 does a pretty great job at it too, especially after learning the basics of 2. Played it for the first time earlier this year and it was crazy how even the SNES version had some QoL that was missing in the SaGa games after it, plus characters instead of classes.

the craziest part is clock up ends up with like 1 delay and stacks up to 3 times, you can kinda buff for free

None of the NSO systems natively had savestates, rewind, and online play either. That and the 3D on top of stand-mounted headset instead of wearable made one of the more common complaints the headache/eye strain it caused.
