Visiting my son in College Station, so I didn't expect much. But in the heart of conservatism, people showed up. #NoKings #collegestation

I fortunate enough to be able to dive the Georgia Aquarium again on Thursday. It's an amazing experience. Here's a quick screen grab from the video. The whale shark coming down in the water column to check me out. #scuba #scubadiving #marinelife #georgiaaquarium
I share your addiction. Maybe we should start a support group.
For #worldanimalday, I was tempted to post a shark, sea lion, eagle ray, etc. But I quickly realized that without coral (which most people still don't know are animals), most of them wouldn't exist. #scuba #scubadiving #underwaterphotography #marinelife
Yeah, camera autofocus systems can’t seem to recognize them as subjects. I have a few good shots, but also lots of blurry ones.

This was at PG&Me, a very short swim from the mooring line.
For #worldphotographyday, one of my favorite underwater shots I've taken. Patti with a wall of sardines with a sea lion in the background at Los Isolotes, BCS, Mexico. #scuba #scubadiving #underwaterphotography #lapaz #bcs #bajacaliforniasur #mexico
Yes. Hard corals, the ones that actually build the reef structure, have taken the brunt of global warming.
That relatively rare moment of finding a healthy hard coral above 50ft/15m. #scuba #scubadiving #underwaterphotography #marinelife #roatan
Bonaire, above the water, feels small and remote. And you can feel that there are less than 20,000 people living there. And there’s something great about that. Curacao, with 150,000 residents and a UNESCO protected downtown feels more like a place.
Tough one. The sheer number of shore diving sites in Bonaire is legendary. And boat dives to Klein Bonaire are pretty great. Curacao has fewer shore diving sites, but the entry/exits seem to be easier. The boat dives to Oostpunt (often not possible due to wind/rough seas) is my favorite site ever.
Now that @divecuracao.bsky.social is here, thought I'd share a few shots of our Curaçao trip in September 2023. Literally my favorite dive destination in the Caribbean. #scuba #scubadiving #underwaterphotography #marinelife #curacao #curaçao
