16 species in SJ93 last night. Most surprising I guess was a Magpie Moth and a Riband Wave; late for both. Nice melanic Box-tree moth and a gorgeous Black Rustic. #TeamMoth
Early morning at Wells-next-the-Sea. Light not great at that time. Love the sound of the Brent Geese chuntering to themselves. The Great Black-back caught a ?Plaice or Flounder.
Found a number of Wasp Spider egg masses but sadly no adults in Norfolk last week. Did see this female Roesel's Bush Cricket and Willow Emerald at Titchwell RSPB. #norfolkoct25
At Titcwell all the waders got up. Looked for a raptor and saw this flying off. It was big and didn't strike me as a Sparrowhawk. Bulging secondaries, long tail, gliding on slightly bowed wings. Poor photos I know but what do folks think? Goshawk perhaps?
Turned dull at Trentham Gardens but managed a tick in form of the caddis Limnephilus decipiens plus a hoverfly I have not seen for a good while Chalcosyrphus nemorum.
