Chaotic action in the final women’s 1000m quarterfinal.

Three women fell, including Canadian Danae Blais.

But Canada’s Courtney Sarault easily wins this quarterfinal and is moving on.

This is one of those sporting moments where it’s wonderful to watch if you’re not a fan of Detroit or Seattle.

If you’re a fan or Detroit or Seattle this is likely horrifyingly stressful and anxiety-inducing.

Now in the 13th inning.

Did you know Canadian short track speed skaters have won 37 Olympic medals — second only the long track speed skaters who have won 42.

A wildly successful program that intends on breaking record haul of six medals at one Games in Milano in February. Journey starts here tomorrow.

A crisp October evening in the big city.

Heading out on a 10-day adventure starting tomorrow that’ll take me to Montreal and then Nisku.

Hoping to return to a World Series showdown here in Toronto.
devinheroux.bsky.social
It’s a busy few weeks, months, year ahead.

Off to Montreal this weekend for short track speed skating coverage. Then directly to Nisku, Alberta for Grand Slam of Curling.

Won’t make it to any ALCS games in Toronto unless it gets to a Game 7… which is equal parts fun/terrifying
