In Leeds literally everyone uses 'love' and 'mate' as a term of endearment, but I have heard them used in a condescending or misogynistic way too, not usually by northerners tho in my experience.

Let's face it the prequels/sequels were all mostly crap with a few exceptions but Disney have largely ruined the franchise as predicted. Highlights probably Rogue 1, Solo and definitely Andor but most of the rest πŸ’©

Another BBC show I ditched long ago, along with QT and literally all of the BBC's news output. There is so much better and more relevant journalism out there which I prefer. Kuensberg and Mason have literally dumbed it down to the point where every time they come on the screen I switch channel.
