Proud to stand with teachers, students, and families today at the legislature. We need to fund public education in Alberta properly and fairly. #publiceducation #soldarity #ata #abpubliced

She has a proven track record as a strong human rights advocate and that is exactly what we need on the Board at this time. We are so fortunate she has decided to run for this important office. Please join me in supporting Sarah Doll as the progressive choice for Ward E."

"As a former Trustee for Ward E and a parent of 2 kids in EPSB, I am fully behind Sarah Doll's campaign. She is incredibly hard working and knows the important issues inside and out.

I'm incredibly honoured to have earned an endorsement from Heather MacKenzie, former Edmonton Public Ward E Trustee. Heather is a dedicated advocate for human rights, community builder, and an all-around force for good in this city. Thank you so much for your support, Heather.

That Michael has generously offered his endorsement of my campaign in this moment, when so much is on the line, means so very much to me. Thank you, Michael! #dollfortrustee #edmontonelections #yegvotes #yegvotes2025 #edmontonvotes #epsb #epsbtrustee #epsbwarde #warde #endorsement #michaelphair

Thrilled to be endorsed by Michael Phair, former Edmonton City Councillor and adjunct professor with the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services at the U of A. Michael has always been a courageous advocate for public education, equity, and marginalized communities.

" "I think you should know I'm supporting Sarah Doll not just because she's the only candidate in Ward E I trust to support students dealing with discrimination in our system, but because she knows EPSB needs to be improved for all students and won't be shy about representing the people of Ward E on the board and to the provincial government who needs to fund public education properly" Michael phair former city- former city councillor

Reconciliation isn’t just for a day, it’s a responsibility. #truthandreconciliation #orangeshirtday
Thank you to my dear friend, local Cree artist Tristen Jenni Art for sharing her incredible work.

• Embedding Indigenous histories, cultures, and perspectives across our schools.
• Supporting Indigenous students with culturally safe and inclusive learning environments.
• Building meaningful partnerships with Indigenous communities, families, and elders.

Today, on Truth and Reconciliation Day, we honor survivors of residential schools and commit to action. As a trustee, I will focus on answering the TRC Calls to Action especially those that apply to education:

It's not an easy decision for people who have already put their necks on the line for our schools.

@abteachers we have your back! #albertateachers #albertapubliceducation #savepubliced

Go hug a teacher in your life, or send them a message and let them know you have their back no matter what. This weekend 51,000 teachers across the province are trying to decide if they accept a crappy deal or if they will strike with no pay to try and push for better.

They always emphasize their loved one's love for the job and compassion for their students, but they know something needs to change.

We will lose our teachers if they don't take a stand.

Parents, spouses, friends, and other family members are genuinely concerned about the working conditions their loved ones are facing as teachers in public schools. Burnout, stress, long hours, self financing class supplies, and unpaid work, are the top complaints.

Knocking in @west_jasper_place_yeg tonight and I want to address something that's coming up time and time again at the doors:

These ATA signs are on the lawns of teachers, yes, but more often than not who answers the door is a loved one.

This morning Minister of Finance Nate Horner announced that they'd reached a tentative agreement with @albertateachers.bsky.social.

Does this mean we have avoided a teacher strike?

Not yet. I wouldn't cancel your contingency plans.

More to come.... #abteacherstrike #fundpubliceducation
will we avoid a teacher strike? screenshot of news article saying they have reached a tentative deal. scroll for update what happened? this morning announcement was made a tentative agreement was reached with the ata. teachers will vote sat to mon with results expected mon night. if they reject, strike deadline of oct 6 remains in place. is it a good deal? we dont know. neither side with release the details until after a vote. ata is holding info sessions for teachers thurs fri what can you do? keep pressure on the govt to fund schools. tell them to pay our teachers. tell them to address class complexity. let your child's teacher know you have their back.

I’ve been knocking on thousands of doors, listening to students, researching and preparing a real platform, and showing up to meet you at community events—because Ward E deserves a trustee who is ready to get to work because they've already listened to the people who know their schools best.

When I worried my broken bone might slow me down, a friend said: “I’ve never seen anything slow you down, so I’ll believe it when I see it.” Turns out they were right. 😉

Saturday: Emergency room.
Tuesday: Back knocking doors in Ward E.
I’ve run this campaign the same way I've always done advocacy—and the same way I’ll serve as trustee: by working hard, even when it’s tough, and by actually showing up for people.

The message Friday was loud & clear: the community believes in me. They know I'll do what's right for the kids, & I know how to get it done.

I can't wait to get to work! For the next few weeks, I need you to keep cheering me on, volunteering, and donating, so we can secure this win! Let's do it!

The optimism in the room was a much needed boost for me to keep going.

I have fought long and hard and will continue to fight. I intend to live up to -- and exceed --- your expectations of me, (ESPECIALLY the one about making weird faces on camera 😂).

Thanks you so much to my friends, family, and many supporters in Ward E for making my campaign launch party such a huge success!

The vibes were immaculate -- a hard won evening a celebration by many who have joined me in the fight for inclusive public education over these many years.

I'm always thrilled to find an engaged voter on the door step, and an engaged voter loves when a candidate shows up to answer questions. I can't believe how many times I've been told I'm the ONLY trustee candidiate who has ever knocked on a door.
dollfortrustee.bsky.social
I was thoroughly grilled on those door steps tonight and I don't mind at all-- because I know this school system inside and out and I've got a plan to make sure all of our kids get the best education possible.
