Claudia continued to walk. Maybe she was nervous because Ivory hadn't been around other vampires at all. Louis would be safe, of course. He was a pushover.

She glanced down at her body, letting the question linger in the air. Her desperation for somebody to see and understand her was at odds with the part of her that knows how dangerous other vampires can be.
