They had their chances to score. Frustrating game. Australia had one chance and they took advantage of it.

That's a terrible mistake by Sigur.

Same. Well worth the investment so far.

Can you imagine having to listen to Danny Gallivan, Dick Irvin, Vin Scully or Dave Van Horne having to read out that day's betting lines? I shudder to think what that would have been like.

Just a few mistakes cost them. Full credit to England, they were amazing today. Go Canada Go!

A few mistakes has cost them, but credit to England. They have been amazing. Go Canada Go!

😂 Ok, so I'm not the only one.

Hopefully, this puts to an end all the nonsensical talk of putting up a Leonard statue outside Scotiabank.

Every word, Sir. Every word.👍

I'm not sure that I'll be able to handle Aislin's tribute to Dryden. RIP Mr. Dryden it was a privilege cheering you on.

Until it's "Dee" that's stranded then it's a different game. Easy to play armchair QB when you don't have to deal with the consequences.

A tentative agreement means that the CUPE negotiators have agreed to it. Now it's up to the members to ratify it. Time will tell .
dommar6605.bsky.social
That law makes sense when you have a few cancelled flights to rebook and even then you have 48 hours. How do you rebook hundreds of flights in 72 hours? Are there that many extra seats available on other airplanes? That's the issue that was in front of the gov.
dommar6605.bsky.social
That's on the CUPE negotiating team then. Why would they sign a deal that didn't include that? Why did they allow it to happen in the first place?
dommar6605.bsky.social
Agreed. It's entirely AC's fault. But, does anyone actually believe that AC would be able to rebook that many people in a timely manner. I've read the law. It's not as clear cut as people make it out to be. Sounds good in theory, but not so much in practice.
dommar6605.bsky.social
I don't think they really had much of a choice in this case. You can't leave people stranded all over the globe. Blame AC all you want ( and it is entirely their fault), but leaving people stranded was never going to happen.
dommar6605.bsky.social
Which, it will. If the Union executive recommends it, it will be ratified easily. Haven't heard otherwise. But, agreed it's not a deal until the rank and file ratifies it.👍

Until the "curator" is stranded thousands of kms away from home. Then, they'd be screaming for the gov to intervene. 🤣 Armchair QB is fun to play until you're in the game. They got a deal, btw. Gov intervention must have worked.,👍
dommar6605.bsky.social
Agreed. They signed a deal last night. Chances are the govt intervention had alot to do with that.
dommar6605.bsky.social
They signed a deal last night. All is good.👍
dommar6605.bsky.social
I don't disagree. Fully support people's right to strike. I, also, think that leaving people stranded, regardless of the reason, is never a good thing. Do you?
dommar6605.bsky.social
Looks like government intervention sped up the process. Didn't it?
dommar6605.bsky.social
I don't disagree. AC is entirely at fault. FAs need to be paid a fair wage. Looks like they have a deal today. 👍
